As there have been many cases where photographs have been presented out of context in order to mislead public opinion, it is helpful to have some clues on the true location displayed in an image. The location estimation tool is a novel service, which, given an image, provides an estimate of its location solely based on the visual analysis of its content (e.g., based on landmarks or visual cues that are tell-tale of a specific region).
The estimated location information is available in the asset details. The tool returns the most likely location for the image visual content, shows the confidence level of the estimation, identifies the location name, shows a pin with the location in a map, and also displays some photos from the identified location as illustrated below.
