Journalists from Malta, Greece and Cyprus will be receiving an introductory fact checking training today and tomorrow at the Faculty of Media and Knowledge Sciences in the University of Malta, carried out by the Ιnternational news agency Agence France-Presse.
The initiative is part of MedDMO activities and will look, among other things, at patterns of disinformation, as well as at understanding the importance of crucial fact checking parameters, such as archiving, search on social media, metadata analysis, reverse image and video searchin, geolocation and
the challenges being brought about by AI.
The consortium’s plenary meeting at the Faculty of Media and Knowledge Sciences took place on Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 of October 2023.
