Launch of the EDMO Guidelines for Effective Media Literacy Initiatives

EDMO’s guidelines and principles for effective media literacy initiatives aim to help increase the quality of media literacy across Europe. They have been developed by EDMO’s Working Group on Media Literacy Standards and Best Practices, with input from the EDMO Hubs along with other practitioners and experts during a consultation process, and are available on the EDMO website.

iMEdD – International Journalism Forum

The Mediterranean Digital Media Observatory (MedDMO) will attempt to map out the complex world of disinformation at the International Journalism Forum organized by iMEdD in Athens September 26-28. In the workshop “Understanding Tampered Images/Deepfakes Impact by Monitoring User Reactions through Attention Detection Mechanism,” presented by Charalampos Dimoulas, Anastasia Katsaounidou, and Ioanna Kostarella, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the latest developments and innovative tools developed by MedDMO for identifying tampered or synthetic visual content, such as deepfakes.
