The Mediterranean Digital Media Observatory (MedDMO) is the regional hub of the European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO) for Greece, Cyprus, and Malta. 

MedDMO brings together fact-checkers, researchers, journalists, and domain experts to tackle online disinformation through: 

• coordinated fact-checking 

• interdisciplinary research 

• media literacy and public engagement initiatives 

Our goal is to foster a collaborative and open community where members share expertise, strengthen their work, and expand their impact through cooperation across the region. 

Participation in the MedDMO community is voluntary and flexible, based on your interests and availability. Community members may be invited to contribute to activities aligned with their expertise, such as: 

• supporting fact-checking efforts 

• sharing research findings and insights 

• contributing to media literacy actions 

• proposing new ideas and collaborations
