About EDMO
The European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO) is an EU-funded initiative that brings together fact-checkers, researchers, journalists, and media literacy experts to tackle online disinformation.
It supports collaboration across Europe, helping identify and analyse misleading content, understand how it spreads, and strengthen media literacy. By connecting expertise from different fields, EDMO contributes to a more informed and resilient digital space.

EDMO Hubs across Europe
EDMO operates through a network of regional hubs covering all EU Member States, as well as Norway, Moldova, and Ukraine.
Each hub brings together organisations from its region to monitor disinformation trends, support fact-checking work, and organise research and media literacy activities. Their work reflects local languages, media landscapes, and public debates, allowing for more targeted responses to disinformation.
At the same time, the hubs are connected through EDMO, contributing to a broader European effort to better understand and address disinformation.
